Dragons and Zombies and Art, Oh My!
I'm trying to decide if I can afford another $20 for a couple more dragons. I have my sketches done, but two have blank spots in them, that I really don't want to duplicate an already used dragon in. I should be able to start painting this weekend. I'm excited.
There's zombie-ing going on Saturday. I'll still be at work when it begins, but if I skeedaddle off to Harvard Sq when I clock out, I should be able to at least catch the tail end of it (depending just how slow they move).
I'm watching a production of Guards Guards! this Thursday. Should prove fun.
I meandered through the Somerville Open Studios this past Sunday. It was good for me. Got me out, walking around, seeing art. I saw a lot of stuff I didn't like, but witnessed people liking it. My favorite things to see: Hilary Scott's house. I want to live in a house that fun, when I am a parent. Mine will not have sculpture, but be painted. The Museum of Modern Rennaissance. Quite a sight to see. Impressive. Ann Hirsch's sculptures. Creepy and beautiful. And Matt Brackett's paintings. I'm a sucker for paintings detailed enough to almost be photos.
I have a dentist appt, soon, for the first time in what must be almost two years. I'm a-scared, but looking forward to having it over with.
I'm finally getting on top of getting my Canadian Passport. Luckly, Canadians residing in the US can have US sized photos, providing they fit the other criteria.
